Underwater art photography

Underwater fine art photography is a magical way to create completely unique and inspiring images that reflect the femininity or the majesty of pregnancy. Today I’m going to tell you a bit more about the experience and what to expect during your underwater session.
Underwater portraits are a extraordinary and amazing way to show your personality. Our underwater maternity sessions also have the benefit of making you feel light, weightless and graceful as opposed to shooting on land. The best time for the session is between the 28 and 38 week of pregnancy, when your baby bump is nice and round.
Our accessories, fabrics and dresses will immensely enrich your underwater sessions. The floating fabric create beautiful shapes as they moves, imitating angel or butterfly wings. Fabrics can also be used as a background for a crisp black or white look. Our fairy tale treatment during these type of photos shoots is a true piece of art that you can only get with us!

At the beginning of your photo session, we invite you to visit our wardrobe where you can choose from many dresses from our remarkable collection. We sew in a variety of styles, colors and sizes to suit everyone. Once you put on your first dress and get your make up applied by our underwater makeup expert; we invite you to the warm salt water pool where your real adventure begins!
These luxurious sessions take place in our indoor pool with a water temperature of 32 degrees, so we operate all year round! Your safety and comfort are our priority, which is why we work with a team of experienced divers and a lifeguard. The deepest point of our indoor swimming pool is 150cm which means you can easily stand above the water at anytime. As an added safeguard, our Underwater Studio Assistant will accompany you in the water through out the session to help you fix your dress and to help keep you relaxed.
At Villa Wieliczka we use only the best photographic equipment. Our full-frame camera and wide-angle lens are perfectly matched in the Ikelite housing to protect your gear and ensure your photos have an exceptional quality. We also use underwater strobe lights to capture the perfect lighting scenarios when needed. Underwater portraits typically require a significant amount of retouching. We use software such as Lightroom and Photoshop to improve the color balance and achieve natural skin tones of each image.
Our underwater paintings are interactions between elements and principles of art that help us create artistic master pieces that appeal to the senses.
